PDCC #80 2nd card and Paper Smooches

Click HERE to see my 100 follower blog candy!!

So I got the colors from this weeks Play Date Cafe Challenge #80.. it's a red, orange, and white.. I love how this turned out.. I ended up pop doting the fishes off the card, and added extra fins so they popped right off the water..

I guess I should tell you this is a paper smooches FREE YES FREE digital stamp this month.. it actually was a bee, but I took off the stinger and the stripes, and added a few extra fins..:)

I know this is a weird shot.. but I wanted you to be able to see how 3d this card is and how I didn't adhere all the water down.. so the fish could "swim" behind it.. :)

A little side view of this card...

Here is the finished card.. I really like how it turned out.. :) just fun and simple.. :) and totally silly like me..

Pay it forward...

I found this over at Heather's blog.. HERE.. she is doing this pay it forward.. so I thought.. what a great idea.. :)
"Pay It Forward" is the idea of blessing someone with a random act of kindness without expecting anything in return. It’s passing on a kindness, hoping that your recipients will do the same, and forming a never-ending chain of goodwill. But it isn’t only kindness, it is also a means to connect and share instead of just keeping it to ourselves.

Play Date # 80 & Paper Smooches GDT

Hey everyone!! So since yesterday was Mother's Day.. Which we call Mom's day.. since my kids call me Mom.. :) anyway, I made a special card for my Mom who is not only MOM but my BEST FRIEND.. I used a template that you can get for free see this POST and also I was truly inspired by this weeks Play Date Cafe Challenge colors, Red, Orange, and White.. Since the inspirational picture was of flowers, I took the green from it too :)

So I made a shaped card, and the stamp set called Friendly Flowers

from Paper Smooches..I just love all of Kim's designs (she is the sponsor of The Play Date Cafe this week too) they are all so adorable.
I colored them using copic markers, cut them out, embossed the cloud using my cuttlebug, I used Martha Stewart shredding scissors to make the grass oh then used puffy paint to go around the cloud.. This truly was so much fun to make.. and super simple..

Here is a 3d shot so you can see some of the texture and the fun grass going everywhere. I crinkled it to make it pop..

and a fun side view of the card.. I hope you have enjoyed my creation.. HUGS

to the world

I just adore this stamp.. it's from Mo.. The card reads "To the world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the world. This is for a sweet boy (teen) that is my friend Kristi's son.. he teaches Stretch Guitar.. Stretch adores him, and calls him his "big brother".. it was the boy Tanner's 17th birthday.. so this will go along with his present..

Colored using copic markers.. hope you like it.. just super simple.. HUGS

Peachy Keen GDT Day 5

Well the time has come for me to post my last project for Peachy Keen Stamps.. :( I really had a blast being one of their many Guest DT members.. I hope you have enjoyed a look around my blog and the creations I made using their amazing products..

Here it is.. my last creation being a GDT member.. but NOT my last creation using Peachy Keen Stamps :) For this project I got HUGE inspiration from Mel Stampz if you have not checked out her blog.. I am sorry.. as she is a STAPLE in my creative inspiration not to mention a HUGE resource of fun, free, creative templates and images etc.. This adorable cloud template you can find HERE on her blog for FREE.. yep she is AMAZING.. and also those little "mini" clouds you can also get on her blog HERE for FREE.. WOWZA.. don't you just love free stuff.. :) SHE is CRAZY TALENTED....hehe.. okay so grab your freebies and grab your Peachy Keen Stamp set Pocket Posies HERE and come create this card with me..

First things first.. :) Cut out your cloud shape, I distressed the edges.. then I took a piece of Green paper and used my Martha Stewart shredding scissors and cut it to make it look like grass. I then crumpled it, so the grass would "stand out".. Stamp your Pocket Posies images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.. You can get HERE from YES!! Peachy Keen carries ink too.. and for a great price. ( I used this ink all week long for all my stamping projects.) Okay.. color your cute little flowers, I used copic markers. Cut out your little "mini" clouds using the free template provided in the link above.. Pop dot those up, to give them a 3d effect.. Grab some puffy paint.. YEP puffy paint, the stuff you find at the craft store for $.45 cents.. love this stuff, and create an edge around your cloud of little dots. Adhere the card front to the card base, and there you have a fun, beautiful, shaped card that you create..

up close look at the grass, flowers, and the mini clouds..

Peachy Keen Guest DT Day 4

Thank you to everyone who left a comment.. they really made my day.. :)

This little guy is a fun way to top off a treat.. I call them treat toppers.. I have used the adorable little snowman stamp called Snow Happy Mini..

Yes I know it's not Christmas.. but I wanted to think of a cute idea for my son to give to his school friends for a little Christmas goodie.. so I thought HOT CHOCOLATE!! Who doesn't like Hot Chocolate?? So I placed this little topper on top of a single pack of Hot Chocolate! It was super fun and easy peasy to make... You can even stamp them out and let your kids color them so they are more personal...

I will see you back here tomorrow for my last post.. HUGS

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Day 3

WOW.. the time is just flying by... today I have a fun, simple project for you..

First I started off by making 3 lolly pop flowers and distressed them.. I added random pieces of patterned paper in the back for some visual texture, and a scallop border. I used a white gel pen to add some faux stitching and distressed the edges..

Did you know that Peachy Keen Stamps doesn't just sell stamps.. :) they sell punches, glitter, they have new dies out right now.. YEP it's true.. so I used one of the many punches they carry it's called the Photo Label Punch, I stamped only the word Happy Birthday from the Pocket Posies set onto it and punched it out.. I am in love with this punch. I can see so many uses for it..

Peachy Keen GDT Day 2

Hey everyone! I am back with another Peachy project.. for this project I followed the Peach Keen Tuesday Sketch Challenge which you can see HERE .. participants are asked to follow a sketch (with a twist) and submit their entries!
The TWIST this week, is that a stamped image should be cut out and "popped" for dimension. If you do not have a Peachy Keen image stamp, feel free to pop up a die cut and use one of the Peachy Keen Faces. ;)

I ended up using my new Pocket Posies set again, LOVE THIS SET....

but this time I colored each flower with copic markers, and cut them out. I first sewed the background down to the card base, then POPPED them right off the card. I wanted to create a "garden of flowers" effect.. I feel I did that here. I hope you will join with us in this weeks sketch at the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog.

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Day 1

A little about me..I really started “Scrapbooking/Card making” in 1996 when my dear friend Lisa Bearnson introduced to her new magazine Creating Keepsakes.. after that I was HOOKED!.. I do both scrapbooking and card making..I love to do anything with my hands, and if it has a crafty flair I love it even more.. I have been published in many magazines, worked for Creating Keepsakes as a designer for products sold on QVC, and won many contests.

I was so excited to be asked to be one of the amazing Guest Designers for Peachy Keen Stamps..It was so hard for me to pick what products to work with since I love them all.

Here is my 1st project...

For this project I ended up using one of my favorite Peachy stamp sets called Pocket Posies

I started off with a white cardstock and distressed the edges with distressing ink. I then broke out the old sewing machine.. Now I am not a "sewer".. I can only sew a line and squiggle lines.. hehe so that is what I did here.. I ended up stamping the flowers with 3 different inks, blue, red, and green, then placed them on a pok-a-dot paper, added some fun little flowers, a little sparkle center, rounded the corners and called it good. I think this set is so sweet and really can be used all year long. I can see making a lot of fun, different, unique projects with this one set..

I am so excited to share my Peachy Keen creations all week long.. I will see you back here tomorrow..
